TIPS to look after YOU
Part of being a good dad is not only looking after your family but looking after yourself.
Just like mothers, Dads have to wear many hats and this can be both physically and emotionally demanding. Staying fit and healthy and managing stress through exercise and diet is an important part of staying on top of the demands of being a dad.
And of course, the best way to encourage your kids to eat well and stay active is to be a good role model yourself.
Kids pick up so much from what they see at home and you can create your own household norms. Do you spend your Sunday afternoons on the lounge watching the box or kicking a ball in the park with your kids. Swap the remote for a racquet and your slippers for swimmers. Your body (and your kids) will love you for it.
TIP # 1: Invest time in you. “Me time”.
TIP# 2: Be active. At a minimum walk regularly and eat a balanced diet.
TIP # 3: Don’t stress out. Watch caffeine intake and take deep breaths, yes it works!
TIP # 4: Keep it up in the bedroom or where-ever. Sex and a healthy relationship is essential to staying sane!
