The playground parent: Argh!!!!!!
One can never truly know a role, unless one has rolled up the sleeves and done it for some time. Becoming a dad is easier than being one and being a stay at home dad can open up a whole new world. Tell me if you relate to this…
Surviving kids 7am to 7pm with little adult stimulation can truly put your sanity at risk. But even worse, in my mind, is the playground mind games dish out by some of the parents.
For a short time I thought I could find some much needed adult stimulation at drop off and pick up, but my world in the playground started to get littered with static from some hilarious personalities, the 2010 winners include Loopy Lee’s, Mad Margaret’s and a couple of Mental Max’s & Micks not to mention Mr Dick_ _ _ _.
My favorite is the over controlling Mum who runs the P & C, fete, cake stall, carnivals, then steps up to co-ordinate Rudd’s stimulation constructions whilst perennially brown nosing the teachers with the focused agenda of cherry picking her kids’ class and team peers. She has mapped out her kids lives and friends. Her wicked tongue lashes criticism on all (kids and parents) who are not in her immediate audience…freaky stuff!
It was clear the Loopy Lee’s, Mad Margaret’s and a couple of Mental Max’s & Micks not to mention Mr Dick_ _ _ _. were not going to be my fountain of parenting advice
My only concern is the modeling these personalities are playing out to their kids. what will our world become?.
Thank God I found www.dadsclub.com.au

Dude, too funny…..mental Max and loopy Leigh, did you get it right? What about the cool dude dad corner.
Dane, I’m surprised you even commented. The world is littered with all kinds and the sooner you realize this and get on with it the better…that’s what I’d be modeling on my kids.
She exists…will the husband / father PLEASE step up
