Rules, do we always need them?

Kids are taught that rules are in place to stop anarchy. Clearly rules come in handy, particularly in the early years of parenting, however, it is worth noting that good and bad do not always correlate with rules. As Andrew Mullins, Parenting for Character, Finch Publishing says: “You will have a devil of a time trying to find rules for every possible misbehaviour. The sense of right and wrong must be adopted internally, not just imposed externally”.
