My partner and I are looking for advice relating to consent for medical procedures. He has a daughter and his ex wife is organising a medical procedure that is elective and not medically needed, just aesthetical/cosmetic surgery. They are just recently divorced and still going through the long process of custody orders. She has told him that it is getting done and she doesnt need his consent, he disagrees with the procedure and needs to know where to go from here. I have kids and cant imagine not including their father in decisions like medical procedures and am at a loss on how to help. Any info will help.
