Learning can also be fun, just add rockets

Ignite your kids imagination with rockets. Sounds unreal, but each year my father-in-law launches rockets that soar around 20 metres high, then return to earth with a parachute. Loud and exciting this is guaranteed to ignite your kids imagination as well as positioning you as one very cool dad / grand dad!
The rockets, planes etc.. (not surprisingly) come from the US and are reasonably priced - www. estesrockets.com There’s a huge range to choose from.
This site also has a comprehensive education resource, offering 45 lessons, so kids (primary and early to mid secondary levels) can actually learn and apply Science, Maths and Newton’s Laws of Motion to name a few.

I flew a Rocket with my 5 year old last week and it was the best fun for both of us. Unfortunately the Rocket only came with 2 engines so I have ordered another pack of 25 engines.
I think half the fun of Rockets is getting the Bloody thing out of the trees again after an unsuccessful landing.
Thanks for the Idea.

Did you see the article in yesterday’s SMH on page 5. Rocket Lobsters and careening corn cobs: street races are a real blast.
Jet powered…yesterday’s race in Marrickville drew hundreds of people to witness the model rocket race.
Here’ the full article on vertical rocketing in the streets of Sydney. Loads of fun for dads, sons and daughters.
