1 boy, six years

• What is your greatest ‘Dad moment’ outside of your kids’ birth?

Picking him up and getting loads of unconditional cuddles

• What’s the most rewarding thing about being a Dad?

Always being greeted when I come home and seeing his face light up

• What drives you crazy about being a Dad?

Like me he wakes up at night, just when he needs to get some sleep, so it’s pretty hard to calm him down and get him to have that essential good night sleep.

• What’s your son’s favorite meal that is made by you?

Macaroni Cheese, but made with Ricotta

• What’s your response to “Dad I’m bored”?

It probably comes as no surprise…I try to get him to play the guitar. But at his age he seems more interested in heading to the park with his scooter. I’ll keep on persisting with the guitar.

• What’s the best holiday you’ve done with your boy and why?

His mum is a Kiwi so we often head to her sister’s place in New Zealand. A gem of a place called Papamoa Beach.

• If there was one piece of advice you would give to a new dad what would it be?

Give them lots of time because as you get older they seem to grow up even faster. Cherish the time you have together, sadly it’s not forever.
